Gene Edwards Book Information

Gene Edwards is a prolific Christian writer. He is published by many book publishers such as, Random House, Zondervan, Destiny Image, Seed Sowers, Tyndale, and Spanish House. He has even been called “Christians’ most loved story teller” and that “his writings rank with those of CS Lewis.”

His most popular books are The Divine Romance, A Tale of Three Kings, The Prisoner in the Third Cell, The Chronicles of Heaven, and The First Century Diaries. Many of these books deal with discovering the deep things of Christ, the many things we as Christians overlook in the practice of our faith.

Gene Edwards has written various books on comfort and healing. Often, from first-hand experience. Some book titles of this nature are, Exquisite Agony (healing for Christians who have been hurt by other Christians), A Tale of Three Kings, Letters to Devastated Christians, Dear Lillian (A book about what happened to a Christian after death).

Gene Edwards most influential books have been The Seminary Way or Paul’s Way of Training Men. Paul’s Way of Planting Churches, How to Meet in Houses, and What Killed the House Church Movement? (This title is actually free on the Internet). Additionally, Revolutionary Bible Study and Unleashing The Word of God – (also free on the Internet). A few others to mention are: An Open Letter to House Church Leaders, and Why So Many House Churches Fail and What to Do About It.

Gene Edwards has also written what some dub as controversial books. However, controversy has much to do with the eye of the beholder. Beyond Radical – a book that traces the pagan roots of many evangelical practices. God is Looking for a Man For the Twenty-First Century – a book that explains that most of the greatest changes in Christianity came by men outside the institutional church. Some additional books on that may stir up mainstream evangelical disciples are, Why You Should Consider Leaving the Pastorate, What Killed the House Church Movement,

The Organic Church Versus The New Testament Church, Rethinking Elders, When the Church was Led Only By Laymen, and Training Men The Seminary Way Versus Paul’s Way of Training Men.
